At Arterial Design I delivered documentation of an interactive and immersive space for the ACMI refurbishment. The project involved a high level of hands-on prototyping and testing to develop the touch-sensitive, sound-triggering fibreglass objects and matching sculptural wall tiles. The design required integration with audio, video, lighting and existing building infrastructure, and relied on regular communication with many designers and contractors.
I worked closely with the fabricators and installers from an early stage, allowing me to produce industrial-design-level workshop drawings and production files to expedite the construction process. The high-profile nature of the job required an advanced level of organisation, efficiency and experience in order to deliver on time and on budget, and to a standard fit for a major institution such as this.
