The Invention of Melbourne
Old Treasury Building
Arterial Design
2019
Working with the Old Treasury Building Curator and the Melbourne Diocesan Historical Commision, I was the lead designer in the development of a temporary exhibition inside this strictly-controlled heritage building, exhibiting a collection belonging to former Archbishop James Alpius Goold. The collection consisted of oil paintings, books, sketches, prints, artifacts, furniture and clothing.
The exhibition design comprised of a combination of CCV text and decals, specialised joinery and custom display cases. I was responsible for the development of an aesthetic approach that would compliment the rich palettes of the Baroque pieces, and worked with a graphic designer to realise this vision.
I produced a full documentation set for construction and reviewed shop drawings.
