Triceratops:

Fate of the Dinosaurs

Melbourne Museum
2022

This permanent exhibition at the Melbourne Museum celebrates a 67 million year old fossil of a Triceratops - the most complete fossil of its kind in the world.

As a spatial designer on this project, my role spanned from concept generation to documentation to installation coordination, Exhibition elements included custom display cases, interactive consoles, bespoke object mounts, joinery and furniture, interpretive signage, set dressing and the specification of a wide range of products and materials. The space needed to accommodate responsive projections and dynamic lighting design, all while adhering to requirements for accessibility, cleaning and durability. The inspiration for the built form always came from the content, and as a result the space is cohesive and immersive while heroeing the Triceratops itself.
